I am very grateful to the Department of Mathematics at MU since the program there prepared me extremely well for my present situation. Recently, I was reading Critical Points, and it mentioned to forward any information on alumni to you. Here is my update: I was a graduate student in mathematics from 1989 to 1992 at MU, receiving an MS in math in 1992. Beginning academic year 1994-95, I was hired as a tenure-track faculty member at Cuyahoga Community College, Western Campus, in Parma, Ohio. This past spring I received tenure and a promotion to associate professor.

Thanks for the copy of your department's newsletter. It is impressive, as usual. I believe there is widespread agreement that, among all American mathematics departments, Missouri has improved the most in the last decade or so. Your continued success is inspirational to us all.
