On April 21, 2004, the Student-Athlete Advisory Council named Peter Casazza as one of their Most Inspiring Professors. Student athletes nominate the professors for believing in and challenging students to learn and achieve. Dr. Casazza started teaching at the University of Missouri's Department of Mathematics in 1983. In 1997 he won a Kemper Fellowship for Teaching Excellence (see article) and the Outstanding Greek Faculty Award. Currently he is the course coordinator for Math 61 Elements of Calculus.
