Regularity in free boundary problems for operators with variable coefficients

Abstract

The regularity theory for two phase elliptic and parabolic problems (e.g. Stefan type problems) is fairly well understood in the case of constant coefficients. Many questions remain open if the operators depend on space and on space-time, respectively. We give some recent result concerning the elliptic case, focusing on the statement "Lipschitz implies C¹ alpha".
