How to get to Columbia

By air:

Columbia is just about halfway between St. Louis and Kansas City. Because of the locations of the airports in these two cities, it takes about 1:40 to drive to St. Louis Airport, and 2:15 to drive to Kansas City Airport. Most major airlines fly to these two airports. In addition, TWA offers commuter flights (connecting through St Louis) to Columbia regional airport. To get from St Louis or K.C. airport to Columbia one can either:

  1. rent a car (visit http://www.travelocity.com for information on rates)
  2. take the Mo-X (1-877-669-4826) Van. These vans can take you directly to your hotel or campus.
To get from Columbia regional airport you can either
  1. Take shuttle van to your hotel or campus (573-874-4048)
  2. rent a car through Hertz (573-449-0077) or National (573-443-4611)
By car:

(to the University of Missouri) via I-70: Take I-70 to exit 126 (Providence Rd). Take Providence Rd 2 miles south to Rollins St. This is a "T" intersection. Left onto Rollins to Maryland Ave (1st 4-way stop sign). Left on Maryland 1 block to the Turner Ave Garage. Visitor parking is available in the garage Thursday and Friday. After 5pm daily and on weekends parking is free anywhere.

By walking:

To get to the General Classroom Building (GCB) from the Turner Avenue Garage, you will cross Maryland Avenue. At this point, go south [right] one block to the corner of Maryland Avenue and Rollins Street. Turn left (east) on Rollins Street and go approximately one block to the stop sign. The building directly ahead is GCB.

From the Regency go west (right) on Broadway to Ninth Street. Turn left (south) on Ninth Street and go approximately 6 blocks. The street will end here but there is the sidewalk continues. Take this sidewalk to the General Classroom Building (GCB) on your right.

Location of Hotels

By car: (to the Regency)

The Regency is at 1111 E. Broadway (573-443-2090). As above, except Exit US63 at Broadway (this is before Stadium). Take Broadway for about 2.5 miles into downtown Columbia. The hotel is on the right at the corner of Short St and Broadway and has a large sign.
