Water Wave Theory and Applications
Abstract: After a brief review of the historical context of modern
water wave theory, we present some recent theory pertaining to long
wave models. The lecture then turns to applications of the theory,
including as time permits, tsunami propagation, rogue waves and
nearshore zone sediment transport and the formation of sand bars.
