Applying to Tenure-Track Positions at Teaching Schools

This talk will give presenter’s personal thoughts on how to apply for tenure-track positions at colleges and universities that focus on teaching. We will look at many aspects of the job application process: resume, cover letter, teaching and research statements, letters of recommendation, different kinds of interviews, and other important factors. We will discuss the strategies on how to present applicants’ strengths on application materials and how to perform well during interviews. The talk will be most relevant to current Ph.D. students who are interested in getting a tenure-track job at a teaching school.
