Graduate Student Analysis Seminar: On derivation of hydrodynamic equations from Hamiltonian dynamics

Abstract: We will try to link the microscopic world(finite many particles moving according to Newton’s law) with the macroscopic world(continuum fluid).
We will show that under assumptions macroscopic hydrodynamic equations can be derived naturally from Hamiltonian dynamics(interacting molecules).
The main tool here is measure theory: a generalized Fubini theorem, the disintegration theorem and weak convergence of probability measures.
