Abstract: Let $K$ be a convex body in $\mathbb R^n$. According to an
old result of Gruenbaum, if $K$ is cut by a hyperplane passing through
its centroid, then the volumes of the two resulting pieces cannot be
too small (they are larger than $1/e$ times the volume of $K$).
We will discuss recent generalizations of Gruenbaum's result
for projections and sections of convex bodies, as well as their
