The Poincare-Bendixson theorem is one of the key theoretical results in nonlinear dynamics.  It establishes that closed orbits exist in particular systems. It guarantees the behavior of certain systems in 2 dimensional space. In this paper we prove the Poincare-Bendixson Theorem and offer an example of its application.
