Development of teaching skills and scholarship are increasingly important for success in obtaining academic jobs and for a rewarding academic career.  The University of Missouri is currently offering multiple professional development activities aimed at preparing future and recently hired faculty to be effective teachers and to learn about the latest teaching methods.  This presentation will discuss those activities including opportunities provided by MU's membership in the Center for the Integration of Research, Teaching and Learning (CIRTL) Network. Graduate students, post-doctoral fellows and new faculty in the Math Department may be interested in participating in these activities which are free of charge for members of the MU community.
