The Mathematics Department is proud to announce that Professor Dan Edidin has been awarded a Fulbright Fellowship.

As a Fulbright Distinguished Scholar, Edidin will conduct research at Tel Aviv University from February to June 2025 on the project “Representation theory and molecular imaging”. The goal of this project is to apply techniques from algebraic geometry and representation to solve mathematical problems at the foundations of two important methods in molecular imaging - X-ray crystallography and cryo-electron microscopy. While in Israel, Dan will continue his collaboration with Dr Tamir Bendory of the Tel Aviv University School of Electrical Engineering and be hosted as an IAS-Fulbright senior scholar in the Mortimer and Raymond Sackler Institute for Advanced Studies.
