The Mathematics Department is very proud to announce that Dustin Belt has won the 2024 Advisor of the Year award from the College of Arts and Sciences.

Professor Belt has served as Undergraduate Mathematics Advisor in our department since January 2016, a position that formally changed to Director of Undergraduate Studies in September 2021. He has worked tirelessly to provide excellent guidance and invaluable support to our students throughout the years.  For many, he is the face of the department.  

Professor Belt has also served coordinator and lecturer for Calculus I since the Fall Semester of 2016.  He has played an essential role in our undergraduate program, helping to ensure that the over 500 students a semester that take Calculus I receive the highest quality instruction.
