The Mathematics Department is proud to announce that Srishti Singh has been an awarded a Dissertation Year Fellowship for AY 2023-2024.

Srishti's research centers on numerical semigroups, are of interest in number theory, analysis, geometry, group theory and algebra. Her focus is on studying numerical semigroups through semigroup rings and combinatorics. Her dissertation work encompasses the Wilf conjecture and its extension for affine semigroups. She also investigates Kunz and Waldi's class of these objects in two dimensions, with plans for generalization to dimension three, using tools like numerical invariants, gluing, and principal matrices.
